After Gina Carano, America's second most famous female mixed martial arts fighter is probably Kim Couture, the wife of Randy Couture. But while Carano put on an impressive showing on CBS last month, things did not go well Saturday night for Couture:
Kim Rose defeated Couture handily, winning 30-27 on all three judges' cards, and left Couture bleeding profusely with a broken nose and broken jaw.
Couture had previously done some exhibitions, but that was her first professional MMA fight. Given how it went, no one could blame her if she decides to make it her last fight as well, but she has already said that as soon as doctors clear her to fight again, she'll be back.

Randy C, I used to have the utmost respect for you not only as a fighter but as a man. I just lost some of it. How could you let your wife get into this sport and with very little skill to boot?. It's a wonder she is not dead. My man, YOU keep on fighting and kick Fedor's butt and keep your beautiful wife home safe and sound to give you loving massages after your fights. I'm sure you married her for reasons other than fighting. You know MMA is not a sport. It's life or death. Every punch or kick or elbow could be the last. Women's necks are not strong enough to withstand hard punches. Fatal whiplash or permanent damage is highly possible. They certainly don't train like men and the mismatches are everywhere. I know you Love her, protect her also.
