What a frikkin joke and a waste of a night. Is Dana White ever going to plan out any fights that make it to the last round? Knock outs are fun, but not within the first minute. I cannot tell you I told you so bacause Silva was up against a lucky one punch KO draw of the card fighter. But geesh. Irvin threw a kick that my Grandma could defend. are these fights set up? I see alot of skilled fighters go down from rediculous crap. makes me want to pull out of the 'Moo Duk Kwan' and try my luck for a few million.

What a shame. Irvin talked all the smack and didn't even land a punch or a kick. CORRECTION! He landed a slow weak kick that was caught and was slapped down like a dominated abused woman.

first off... maybe those last two comments were made by ignorant little boys or maybe you guys watch so much mma that you've become a little delusional. But I guarantee that if either one of you got hit like that, you wouldn't be up shaking hands until you were discharged from the hospital.......and if you could catch that "slow, weak kick" while at the same time countering with a deadly punch, you'd probably be in a prize fight rather than blogging about one. Anyway, the reason I got on here was to see if anyone agrees that lately, some of these ref's seem a little scared to stop these fights too soon. Big John is the best, and I think he would have stopped that one as soon as Irvin covered up with NO INTELLIGENT DEFENSE.

mazzagatti should feel pretty shitty if he reviews his performance.irvin just got the right side of his face blown open well after that fight should have been stopped. these refs need to get in there and protect these fighters or else the people who want our sport outlawed will have the ammunition to do just that.keep in mind, the senator that called mma dogfighting and wanted it to be banned is now running for president. dont get me wrong, it sucks when a guy wants to keep fighting and the ref stops it prematurely, but more often than not, the doesn't even realize how stunned he was. Irvin's eyes were open, but he was out. It was over. It's not on Silva to stop. That's the refs job. He stood there and watched him get hit 5-6 times and then the guys face blew open and than he was hit again. Then it was stopped. That was a shame.Hell of an ass kicking though.
