UFC says it has a major announcement planned for today, and Steve Cofield is reporting that the announcement will be the return of heavyweight champion Randy Couture, who will fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 in November. The return of Couture, which has been talked about for the last week, is a stunning development, and getting back one of its best and most popular fighters is a huge achievement for UFC. There had been a great deal of speculation that a rival organization would lure Couture away and pit him against Fedor Emelianenko. It now appears that if a Randy vs,. Fedor fight ever happens, it will happen in UFC.
But first Couture has to fight Lesnar, the up-and-coming MMA fighter who was previously a champion amateur wrestler and a WWE star. Couture is 45 years old and hasn't fought in more than a year, and Lesnar will be a tough test. It's a test that millions of MMA fans are glad they'll get to see.

Think of this as a prefight for Couture and Fedor. I live in Portland where UFC 91 is going to take place. I can't wait to go to the first UFC in the Northwest. I think it is fitting that Randy is headlining the show in his hood. BOUT TIME!

The mega-fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas instead of Portland, Oregon’s Rose Garden as previously expected and will be for Couture’s UFC heavyweight title.

It's the biggest fight in mixed martial arts history! 3-time UFC Heavyweight Champ Randy "The Natural" Couture returns to the Octagon and puts his title on the line against the biggest opponent of his career, wrestling powerhouse Brock Lesnar. Can the legend prevail? Or will a new hero rise?

As someone who has many friends who are involved in MMA and having a bunch of personal experience, I'll say anythings possible. Randy should be odds on favor for everybody as far as bets go. With that said if he messes up just a little it could end extremely quick. For a man his size Brock is lethally quick he's an NCAA 1A National Champion Wrestler. That's not WWF. He has a DRAGO-like tolerance for pain to. On top of that he's patient and usually about two steps ahead of his opponent. I can't wait to see the fight. It should be awesome!
