Oh, c'mon, MDS. You know that was orchestrated. It was so painfully forced that it's obvious EliteXC decided that was the best thing to do in order to save face and set up a future main event.

The real question is whether or not Ken suffered his injury legitimately, don't you think?

Although your commentary & reporting is appreciated, I think you may be speaking out of your anus.

Kimbo slice got caught, mistakes happen, he got caught in the chin early & was overwhelmed. This could happen to anyone fighter at anytime.

Elite XC tonight has proven themselves to be the lesser ompetitor of the UFC. I feel as though this whole (Oct 4, 2008) Fight Night was some sort of dramatic stunt. From Ken Shamrocks injury, to Frank's comment, & then the replacment fighter being a dead ringer to knock out Kimbo early.

Gina Carano was the best thing going for Elite tonight.

Michael, you are kidding yourself and your readers if you want to think Kimbo is some sorta joke; he is the real thing! Yes he makes some poor choices & that is what got him caught tonight.

I think Kimbo can come back from this loss just like any other fighter who is determined in this sport. The thing is Kimbo's trainers should have seen this weakness in his training and improved their fighters skills before coming into a main event like this.

UFC is soooooo much better. I mean, Elite should be ashamed of themselves. This was to be a legendary match between Kimbo and Shamrock that I almost bought live tickets for. I wouldn't be surprised if Kimbo was paid off to get knocked out by some no-name dweeb in order to make for some interesting news. Kimbo sucks! Ken Shamrock sucks! Elite XC sucks! -- Except for Frank Shamrock and that Vietnamese Asian Dude- Cong Li.

why is everybody focusing on the Kimbo fight all of the other fights were good and it was free anybody that has ever trained MMA knows kimbo is not a competitive fighter there mistake was making him the main event, he should have been way down on the undercard.

this was going to be a bad match up for kimbo. he needs to fight guys that just box, but if he fights real mma fighters he's gonna get knocked the f*$k out!!! seth set'm up with front kicks to create space. it looked like seth's first or second jab might of caught a finger to kimbo's eye. anyways, kimbo's next fight should be vs. gina carano. Gina should be able to make weight for that fight!!!! lol

Andre Arlovski is the only good fighter in this company. The UFC should beg him to come back now, now that Tim Silvia is gone and washed up, because Arlovski is a true MMA fighter.

Kimbo Slice is new to the sport, he is mainly a big gimmick, no disrespect to him, but he has not beaten anyone huge, anyone young and talented.... He's been fed tomatoes just to build his hype.

I wish him luck in the sport, but damn he is no where near close to being an elite MMA fighter at this stage in his career. He is no Arlovski, No Wanderlei Silva, No Cro-Cop, No Couture, No Liddell, No Forrest Griffin, No Quentin Jackson..... Not even a Brock Lesnar who is also a newbie but at least has background skills besides brawling..

So EliteXcrock sucks / and is nowhere in the same league as UFC/Pride/K-1/etc. etc..

It's good to see someone like Mike who knows his stuff. Petruzelli was on one foot and off balance and I've seen Kimbo put his hands down, stick out his chin and take a punch from a heavyweight with bare fists and not go down. I'm a retired undefeated fighter and I had to rewind the fight several times to see how Kimbo could go down from that weak of a punch. The only thing I can think of is that it was so unexpected that it was a flash knockdown which drops you and weakens you for a while but you can still function. The fight should not have been stopped until the ref saw Kimbo's arms go limp but he was still trying to defend himself so when a ref stops fights like that it usually means that the ref was on the other guys side for one reason or another...*hint hint*

Kimbo was dazed enough that he clinch with the ref for 10-15 seconds after the fight was called. Anyone who thinks is was a setup or whatever hasn't seen enough MMA fights.

Fighters can be knocked out by punches that don't look that powerful due to the small gloves, and the fact that Kimbo is such a BONEHEAD that he came in like a bull and never saw the punch coming.

Because EliteXC hyped him so much, there really isn't a future for Kimbo ... if you put him in with any decent fighter (undercard fight obviously) he is going to lose.
