UFC 91 Live Blog: Randy Couture-Brock Lesnar Results and Live Updates

Welcome to FanHouse's UFC 91 live blog of tonight's main event between heavyweight champion Randy Couture and challenger Brock Lesnar.

The main event live blog begins below.

Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar:
Brock Lesnar is making his way to the Octagon. Brock Lesnar is in the Octagon.

The crowd is very much behind Couture.
Michael Buffer is making the final introductions. The crowd is booing Lesnar. The crowd gives Couture a huge ovation.

Round 1: This fight is underway. They're in a clinch immediately and Lesnar lands a couple of knees. Lesnar lands another knee in the clinch, against the cage. The crowd is overwhelmingly behind Couture. They're just grabbing and then Couture lands a big right hand. Lesnar punches but misses, and then shoots in for the takedown. Couture shows good takedown defense against the cage. And now Couture is down and Lesnar is on top. Lesnar's in a good position but Couture is trying to get back up. Couture attempted a choke from behind but Lesnar grabbed Couture's leg and got him off. Lesnar is on top, Couture is hanging on for dear life. Lesnar lands a couple of left hands to Couture's face. Lesnar is showing a lot more patience than he did against Frank Mir. Couture scrambles back up to his feet. Couture lands a couple of knees. Lesnar grabbed the fence and the ref warned him. The first round is over and I'm giving it to Lesnar, 10-9.

Round 2: Lesnar comes in with a left jab. Randy is hurt with an elbow! Lesnar hurt Couture, but Couture recovered quickly and got Lesnar up against the cage. Big knee from Lesnar followed by a big punch from Couture. Lesnar is bleeding on his right eye. Lesnar lands an uppercut. Couture has Lesnar against the cage, Lesnar has landed a couple of punches. Lesnar with another knee. Lesnar lands a big right! Couture goes down! Lesnar pummels him and it's over! Brock Lesnar defeats Randy Couture by second-round TKO (strikes).

It will be an interesting fight randy is one hell of a good fighter, but brock is getting pretty used to the ground game now, he is definatly the future of the heavy weight division. its anyones fight at this point

I like and admire Randy, but Brock is younger, faster and stronger. It will be a difficult fight for Randy, but strange things happen in UFC fights. Either is capable of knocking the other out with a single strike.
I am not going to watch the PPV, so keep me posted.

OMG how did Brock win.He got freaking lucky!I bet he had a bowl of lucky charms!Randy is way better but he is old which made had something to do with it.

If Randy can figure out a way to beat that beast, he is definitely a master strategist.

Randy is a true well rounded fighter. Brock i roided out. Although he's been clean for the last 6 months due to close monitoring. If Randy gets through the 1st round I think he'll take the fight. Brock will be sucking for too much oxygen to sustain his muscle power.

Lesnar is a beast. I really like couture, but I think this time he loses. Lesnar in second round.

I know that Brock is a beast but his ground game is still too sloppy. I say that Randy takes him to the ground and submits him.....
prediction: Randy winner by submission 2nd round
