Dana White: Anderson Silva Is Far Above Georges St. Pierre and B.J. Penn

In this promotional appearance to hype UFC 94, Dana White made a lot of interesting comments:

Asked whether the winner of the fight between B.J. Penn and Georges St. Pierre could vault to the top of the pound-for-pound rankings, White said no.

"I don't think they change at all," White said. "Anderson Silva is far and above the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. The fighter who wins this fight between B.J. and St. Pierre is on their way. They've got to do a couple more big things in their career to challenge Anderson Silva, or something happens to Anderson. But Anderson Silva is way above pound-for-pound the best fighter."

The second part of the interview is below.

White Part 2:

Some highlights:
-- White said he believes St. Pierre deserved to win their first fight, which was a close split decision.
-- The Penn-St. Pierre winner will fight Thiago Alves next, and after that. If St. Pierre beats both Penn and Alves, he might move up to fight Silva.
-- White wouldn't divulge how many pay-per-view buys UFC 91 got, but he did say, "It didn't suck. It was good. ... We're real pleased."
-- He thinks it's possible that Penn-St. Pierre could get even more pay-per-view buys than Lesnar-Couture.
-- White says he's never even met Fedor Emelianenko and doesn't think Fedor wants to fight in the UFC.
--White doesn't think MMA needs a super heavyweight class.
--UFC will be back in Montreal in the spring.
--If White wants Rich Franklin to be an Ultimate Fighter coach, he's confident he can convince him to do it.
