Welcome to the FanHouse live blog of the UFC 92 fight between Rampage Jackson and Wanderlei Silva.Although it's not for a belt and it's not the main event, Rampage vs. Wanderlei is probably the most anticipated fight of the entire UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008 show. There is genuine bad blood between these two guys, who fought twice previously in the Japanese Pride organization, and some of that bad blood spilled over into the weigh in yesterday.
They're both exciting fighters, and they just don't like each other. It should be a sick fight.
Rampage vs. Wanderlei is the second fight on the pay-per-view card and should start around 10:30 p.m. Eastern. The live blog begins below.
Silva is making his way to the Octagon. Silva is in the Octagon.
Jackson is making his way to the Octagon. Jackson is in the Octagon.
They stare down and refuse to touch gloves.
Round 1: This fight is underway. Rampage throws a right and lands the first punch, then steps back. Nice leg kick from Silva. Good combination from Silva. They're both being a little more cautious than you might have expected. Silva lands a punch and another leg kick. A couple of good jabs from Jackson. Jackson goes for a takedown and Silva makes him pay for it by landing a knee. We're two minutes in and they're continuing to stalk each other. Silva lands another leg kick, taking a page out of Forrest Griffin's playbook. Round 1 is half over and it's been all on the feet. Jackson catches a Silva kick but can't turn it into a takedown. A good jab from Rampage. A brutal punch! Rampage levels Silva! Rampage Jackson knocks out Wanderlei Silva.

Rampage is back! He deserves a tittle shot even though he was robbed of his belt against griffin. It will be a good one between Evans and rampage. One more thing chuck needs to stop being a baby. Face it chuck ur time is up. Kiss the championship goodnight. U don't want to be in the cage with RAMPAGE!!!!

I was for Rampage and am glad he won... However, I feel he displayed a tremendous amount of un-professionalism by continuing to plummet his opponent (Silva) after knocking him out. That's just BS... If he is truly professional he would have controlled himself and acted accordingly... If he can't tell the dude was out cold he needs to find another sport. This does the UFC and MMA fighting no good... and the friggin Ref was asleep at the wheel... he needs his as... kicked...

you moron, STFU. He is in a freakin adrenaline moment and wants to finish him for sure. It's the ref's job to stop the fight. Not for rampage, damn man. Some people are really ignorant. Maybe you should try and find to watch a new sport

The shots on the ground weren't that damaging. All it took was 1 big left, and Wanderlei was out.
Wanderlei will unfortunitely continue to fight even though I think he is risking permanent injury. The KO losses to Henderson, CroCop, and Rampage have been devastating ... couple with all of the other wars he has been in, the punishment he has taken is extreme. I wish he would consider retirement.

Wanderlei is a great fighter but Rampage has improved so much and Wanderlei has not improved. As for the punches after he was down, if you want MMA you will notice that that happens all the time and until the ref stops the fight it is a free for all. Rampage is facing jail time for his road rage incident in Newport Beach so his next fight might be to keep is virginity inside Chino State.

I don't care what people say to this, I agree with CPR, I don't even watch UFC and I think it is even worse than boxing, I hate violent so called sports, people may call me morons or stupid but there is enough violence in the world today. I think UFC is pointless..... I am only 13 but I think any sport that involves hurting eachother on purpose is weird and cruel, [espesially bull fighting and hunting for the animals heads]
