Fighter of the Year: Gegard Mousasi Beats Musashi in K-1 at FieLDS Dynamite

Gegard Mousasi finished 2008 with a bang, beating Musashi with a first-round KO today in a K-1 match at FieLDS Dynamite!:

If you're looking to pick one athlete for Fighter of the Year -- be it in boxing, K-1, MMA or any other combat sport -- I think you could make a pretty good case that Mousasi deserves that honor. He went 6-0 in MMA in 2008, winning the Dream middleweight tournament in the process. And now he concludes the year with a dominant K-1 victory.

Mousasi is just 23 years old, and I look forward to big things coming from him in 2009.
