Josh Barnett vs. Gilbert Yvel
Yvel is on his way to the ring. Barnett is on his way to the ring.
Round 1: This fight is underway. Yvel lands some strikes but Barnett gets the takedown. Barnett has Yvel on the ground, exactly where he wants him. Barnett has Yvel in a lot of trouble with three minutes left in the round. There's not a ton of action, but Barnett is totally controlling the fight on the ground. Barnett is in full mount and doing damage with ground and pound. Yvel is trying to break free but Barnett is just totally dominating the fight on the ground. Now Barnett is getting Yvel's back. Barnett is just absolutey pummelling Yvel. But at the end of the round Yvel broke free and actually got to his feet. I give the round to Barnett, 10-8, but I'm impressed with Yvel just for surviving.

Round 2: Barnett gets a takedown 12 seconds into the second round. Barnett knows he can totally dominate Yvel on the ground, and that's what he's doing. Barnett has side control and is landing strikes. Barnett wants a kimura but he hasn't been able to get it yet. Now Barnett works his way to full mount. Yvel actually lands a couple of punches from the bottom in mount. But there's not much on those punches, and Barnett is really dominating this fight. I'm surprised that Yvel has lasted this long. Barnett should be doing more on the ground, considering how he's been in the dominant position for all but a few seconds of this fight. Great reversal by Yvel, who lands a couple of strikes at the end of the round. The second round is over and I'll give it to Barnett, 10-9.

Round 3: Yvel lands a couple of good strikes and then Barnett gets the double-leg takedown. Barnett is back in mount, and I think he's going to dominate the third round the same way he dominated the first two. Barnett had his forearm directly on Yvel's throat. Yvel really can't do anything here, and the fans are starting to boo because they want to see Barnett finish him. Barnett is pummeling Yvel and he taps! Josh Barnett defeats Gilbert Yvel by submission (strikes).

Matt Lindland vs. Vitor Belfort
Lindland is making his way to the ring. Belfort is making his way to the ring.
Round 1: This fight is underway. Belfort goes for a leg kick. Belfort rocks Lindland! And it's over! A stunning knockout punch. Vitor Belfort knocks out Matt Lindland. Lindland appears to be OK, although the paramedics are putting a neck brace on him and seem to want to take him off on a stretcher. Lindland is sitting up and talking. And now Lindland is standing. The knockout looked ugly, but Lindland walked back to the locker room under his own power.

Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou
Sokoudjou is making his way to the ring. Babalu is making his way to the ring.
Round 1: This fight is underway. Babalu tries to take Sokoudjou down but Sokoudjou shrugs him off. Babalu goes to the inside again, and this time he succeeds at taking him down. But they get back up, and now Sokoudjou has double underhooks. Nice body kick from Sokoudjou, and now Babalu tries to take him down and Sokoudjou is stuck in the ropes. Sokoudjou grabs the ropes to stabilize himself. Now Sokoudjou is on top on the ground and landing strikes. Sokoudjou is looking good. A good judo throw for Sokoudjou. They're doing a lot of clutching, and Babalu is looking frustrated that he can't get Sokoudjou down. The first round is over and I give it to Sokoudjou, 10-9.

Round 2: Sokoudjou lands a solid right uppercut. Babalu finally gets a takedown, and he's doing some ground and pound. Babalu is doing a lot of damage on the ground. Sokoudjou got caught in the ropes, so ref Big John McCarthy had to move them to the center of the ring. Babalu is dominating on the ground now. Sokoudjou just has no ground skills at all. Babalu is going for the anaconda choke or head and arm choke and he has it. Babalu beats Sokoudjou by head and arm choke.

Kirill Sidelnikov vs. Paul Buentello
Buentello is making his way to the ring. Sidelnikov is making his way to the ring.
Round 1: This fight is underway. Kiril leads with a jab and connects. Kirill backs Paul up, and then Paul throws back. Paul lands a jab. Kirill lands a leg kick and then goes to the inside. They're against the ropes. Nice couple of punches from Kirill. Kirill's left eye is already swollen from that early Buentello punch. Paul now has Kirill pinned in the corner. Now Kirill has Paul backed up, and then they go back to the center of the ring. This has mostly been a dirty boxing match. They're doing a lot of punching and a lot of clinching. Paul missed on an uppercut. Kirill's left eye looks bad. The first round is over and I give it to Buentello, 10-9.

Round 2: Paul starts with a jab. Kirill lands a leg kick but then stumbles as Paul checks it. Nice 1-2 from Paul. Good jab from Paul. Kirill backs Paul up, but then Paul comes right back and backs Kirill up. Paul's punches are harder and more effective, and that's why he's winning this fight, with three minutes left in the second round. Kirill throws a series of strikes and traps Paul in the corner, but Paul grabs him and hangs on to catch his breath. It was Kirill's best exchange of the fight, but Paul is still looking good. Paul lands a left hand to the chin. Now they go to the ground briefly but they're right back up. Paul rocks Kirill with a left hook! Kirill got knocked backward but is showing off a good chin. Kirill with a good kick. Paul misses with a head kick. Brutal right hand from Paul but Kirill shakes it off. Kirill can take a beating, but he needs to get on the attack. The second round is over, and I give it to Buentello, 10-9.

Round 3: Paul throws a couple of quick jabs. Kirill throws some leg kicks, but Paul is punching him in the face, and the damage is showing. Paul throws a body shot. Big uppercut from Paul! I'm amazed Kirill has taken so many punches. Paul lands another big one. We're halfway through the third, and Kirill just hasn't done anything. Paul takes the fight to the ground and gets Kirill's back, but now they're standing again. A huge jab from Paul. Kirill is hurting and his mouthpiece is out. Kirill has nothing left, he's almost out on his feet. Kirill basically looks like Homer Simpson right now. Kirill's mouthpiece comes out again. And it's over! Paul Buentello beats Kirill Sidelnikov by third-round TKO (doctor stoppage). The doctor told referee Big John McCarthy to stop the fight, and McCarthy did it.

Dan Lauzon vs. Bobby Green
Lauzon and Green are making their way to the ring. Both fighters are now in the ring.
Round 1: This fight is underway. Green with a quick combination and then Lauzon lands a couple of punches. Green is coming out on fire, but he's swinging wildly and not connecting. Now Lauzon misses wildly. Green lands a low blow and time has been called. We're having a long delay while Lauzon recovers after Green kicked him in the groin. Now we're finally back on, and Lauzon goes for a couple of kicks. Now they're on the ground. Green lands a good strike on the ground, then throws Lauzon down. Lauzon goes for the leg triangle but Green breaks free. They stand back up and Green throws some punches. Another low blow! Green knees Lauzon in the groin, and he's warned by referee Herb Dean. We're in another delay because of another low blow. This one was even worse; a knee straight to the balls. Lauzon is still down and in a lot of pain. Now we're back on. Green is pressing the action again; Lauzon swings and misses. A third low blow! Amazing. A kick to the groin by Green again. This time Herb Dean took a point away from Green. Now we're back underway. Wow. Herb Dean is actually deducting two points. That's very rare. Green gets the takedown. Green is doing some damage on the ground, but Lauzon thinks he has a chance at a heel hook submission. Green gets out of the heel hook, but now Lauzon is going for a rear-naked choke. Green taps! Dan Lauzon beats Bobby Green by first-round submission (rear-naked choke).
