The Telegraphreports that after Josh Koscheck lost to Paulo Thiago, he "left the arena and took his anger – and disappointment out on his dressing room."
MDS, have you noticed that the next few UFC cards have a lot of former headliners on the underdcard? Ie; , Tyson Griffin, Ed Herman, Kendall Grove, Jason McDonald, Nate Quary, Brandon Vera, Etc. I know most of them have 1 or 2 recent losses but it's still interesting. Griffin was recenlty in line for contention.
From a business perspective it shows that their willing to groom new faces while "demoting" familiar ones. It also shows the depth of their roster. Additionally, no one is "too good" to be on the undercard.
I'm sure it guys to to their best to not only win but be exciting in the cage. It also gives fans a chance to see new faces.
Also, I see TUF champ Efrain Esceduro is going to fight Jeremy Stephens. UFC certainly can't be accused of "protecting" it's fighters. Stephens could very well hand their most recent TUF champ his first loss.
Typo. I meant to write: "I'm sure it motivates fighters to not only win, but to be exciting in the cage. It also gives fans a chance to see new faces."
