When Shane Carwin was 10-0 with 10 first-round stoppages, it was easy to dismiss his record as having been built up against tomato cans. But now that he's 11-0 with 11 first-round stoppages, the most recent of which being the knockout of Gabriel Gonzaga on Saturday night at UFC 96, it's impossible to ignore just how impressive a fighter Carwin is. So for the first time, Carwin has made my list of the Top 10 heavyweights in MMA.
The full Top 10, revised to reflect the results of UFC 96, is below.
1. Fedor Emelianenko
2. Frank Mir
3. Andrei Arlovski
4. Josh Barnett
5. Brock Lesnar
6. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
7. Randy Couture
8. Shane Carwin
9. Alistair Overeem
10. Cheick Kongo

This is what I have for now
for number 10 I was hesitating with Kongo,Gonzaga and maybe dos santos
I did not like barnett's last fight thats why I put lesnar over him. I think Mir will beat lesnar again.

there is no way mir would beat lesner again, if they fight again lesner will destroy him. whoever has mir ranked 2nd is smoking crack, couture, lesner, arlovski, kongo, and most of those other guys would all beat mir. I haven't ever been impressed with mir at all.

Josh - Say what you want about Mir (I'm not much of a Mir fan either), but the guy has a first round submission of Lesnar & and a second round KO of Big Nog in his last 2 fights.

Brock Lesnar has only had 4 MMA fights and he has beaten only one top ten fighter in in a highly over rated yet fan favorite, 16-9 Randy Couture. Brock Lesnar shouldn't be higher in
rank than Barnett, Arlovski and Nogueira, he doesn't belong on this list.
Putting Shane Carwin doesn't belong on this list. Until UFC 96, Carwin had not fought or beaten any top ten fighter (Gonzaga's top ten
ranking is questionable) nor have any of the ten prior fighters ever fought or beaten a top ten figher. Yes, Carwin KO'd Gonzaga but until the KO he was clearly being steamrolled in every fashion by Gonzaga.
Here is how an educated top ten heavy weight list should look:
1.) Fedor Emelianenko-AFFLICTION-29-1
2.) Josh Barnett-AFFLICTION-24-5
3.) Andrei Arlovski-AFFLICTION-15-6
4.) Frank Mir-UFC-12-3
5.) Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira-UFC-35-5-1
6.) Alistair Overeem-DREAM-29-11
7.) Junior Dos Santos UFC 8-1
8.) Fabricio Werdum - UFC 11-4-1
9.) Brock Lesnar-UFC-3-1
10.) Randy Couture-UFC-16-9
11.) Tim Sylvia - AFFLICTION -20-5
12.) Ben Rothwell UFC 29-6-0
13.) Aleksander Emelianenko 14-3-0
14.) Cheick Kongo UFC 13-4-1
15.) Shane Carwin-UFC-10-1
16.) Gabriel Gonzaga-UFC-10-4

True, Shane still needs to prove himself but his style is tailor-made to defeat Lesnar.Styles and matchups make for great fights. Lesnar won't dominate him with wrestling and Corwin can, and will, knock him out when they fight-guaranteed!!!
