UFC welterweight champion Georges St Pierre says the campaign by lightweight champion BJ Penn to get the result of their UFC 94 fight thrown out are "ridiculous and going nowhere."St. Pierre made the comments Friday, three days after Penn went before the Nevada State Athletic Commission to complain that St. Pierre had violated MMA rules by having grease rubbed on himself during their fight.
St. Pierre told the Canadian Press:
Whether Penn's complaints are ridiculous is a matter of opinion, but St. Pierre is definitely correct that the complaints are going nowhere. The Nevada State Athletic Commission has no plans to take any action against St. Pierre or his cornermen, and the UFC is moving on. It's time for Penn to do the same."I'm not stressed at all about the Vaseline thing. I didn't even go to court (the Nevada commission hearing). I was in New York training and making myself a better fighter. I don't pay attention to this, it's ridiculous and it's going nowhere. And I just make fun of it."
St. Pierre suggested that Penn is the one with a problem -- "a problem of ego"
"It's a problem that he has. He knows it and I think he's so deep into it that he starts maybe to believe in it. A lot of people when they lie, when they get so deep into it, they start to believe in their lies. It's a disease."
"I'm not happy because I have never stolen in my life, never stolen. And he said in a way that I stole my win," he said.
"I don't think he is a good loser and he tried to take away credit for my win."

Well said, GSP. BJ is making himself look like a jerk who would rather damage GSP and the UFC than own up to his own crappy performance in the Octagon.

penn got his butt kicked and it had nothing to do with vaseline. GSP was better at stand-up, took penn down at will and mostly landed in half guard, he passed guard a will - none of this would be affected by vaseline on a shoulder blade. Penn started crying early - and the NV athletic commission wiped GSP down at least twice before a round started- just so Penn didn't have anything to complain about.
If you watch the fight you can see penn trying to give GSP an arm for kimura, arm bar, his head for a choke, anything to get GSP to stop beating him up. Penn wouldn't even come out for the fith round, he could have easily told his brother YEA I want to fight, the corner was asking him too. Penn stopped the fight on his own, by his actions, and now woln't man up and give Georges' his due. GSP owned penn and the only thing penn can do is cry about it.
