Last week Bellator brought us one of the sickest submissions in recent years when Toby Imada finished Jorge Masvidal with an inverted triangle choke. This time around, the upstart promotion brings us a crazy KO.
Check out the action of Yahir Reyes' spinning backfist knockout of Estevan Payan. Reyes doesn't actually land the backfist, but instead connects with the forearm/elbow. Still, this is definitely an impressive knockout. Ironically, going into the fight, Payan had the reputation as a striker, but Reyes was able to turn the tables.
The win puts Reyes into the Bellator 145-pound tournament final against Joe Soto, who upset Wilson Reis with a unanimous decision in the other semifinal.
Bellator fights are on ESPN Deportes as well as Bellator.com.

I think they just give them clubs with spikes in them so it can get bloody fast and nastier.. You know like the Roman gladiators... Kill, kill, kill... give the crowd what they want...more blood...

One of the best spinning-back-fists I have ever seen ... it landed perfectly flush on his jaw line.
Bellator already has an excellent candidate for submission of the year. This should be in the running for KO of the year.
