You can now officially add "author" to Forrest Griffin's extensive list of accomplishments. The former UFC light heavyweight champion's new book, Got Fight? The 50 Zen Principles of Hand-to-Face Combat, was released on Tuesday.FanHouse caught up with Griffin in Central Park (of all places) to talk about his new book, coming to terms with the fact that he isn't the best fighter in the world, and why he wants no part of Lyoto Machida. The full video interview is below.

I have trouble believing he didn't write this book with crayons on wide ruled paper and then had his mother "edit" it before sending it to the publisher.

UFC is correct about Silva vs Forrest being an entertaining fight. I think Silva will inflict alot of punishment on Forrest and eventually take him out in the 3rd round.

Most of the athletes in all sports are so pitiful giving interviews.
Their vocabulary is very limited. With all the money they make it seems to me they should hire a person with the smarts to teach them how to talk and answer questions with other than "you know, you know"
How sad. But then again, these people never did learn anything when in "school" The only reason they were in school was due to their athletic abilities.

alot of these fighters are actually college athletes and scholars, school teachers. I would love to see any of you well educated people stand in front of rich franklin or houston alexander which are both school teachers and talk your crap.

Forrest Griffin has a bachelors degree in political science. He was a law enforcement officer before he pursued his career in MMA. Before people talk trash they should know the facts. This guy is a great fighter with a humble personality. Give him a break!!!!

I highly doubt that he could get a BA from the University of GA and work as an officer for the Richmond County Sheriff if he were as dumb as you all seem to have him pegged to be.

tsk, tsk! You all must lead such sheltered lives not to recognize the symptoms of incipient brain damage. The man has simply taken one too many shots to head is all. Professional fighters, LEO's and barroom brawlers from "Smokin" Joe to Robert Mitchum have all suffered with this occupational hazard.

you people are the ones that sound stupid by calling him stupid. He is very intelligent, entertaining, and a super nice guy. you have to be pretty smart to be where he is in life and as successful. but i guess it's easy to sit here and talk S@&* about someone on the computer huh?
