Griffin, who beat Faber in a Gladiator Challenge fight in 2005, had a longstanding war of words with Faber. He was also the only person to have a win over Faber on his record until Brown did it last year. And Griffin thinks that Faber is still very beatable.
"I like Mike Brown, just because he's a sound fighter," Griffin said. "Obviously, I'm not a big fan of Urijah's for obvious reasons, but outside of that, from a pure standpoint, he's a reckless fighter who hasn't learned to not be reckless. Mike Brown is a sound fighter who's consistently sound. He won't make a mistake and Urijah's going to make a mistake. I'm sure he's not going to make a mistake as early as he did in their last fight, but I think, just stylistically, Mike Brown is a terrible match-up for him. ... Brown's a bigger, smarter fighter who's got a better camp around him."
I agree with Maynard and Griffin: I'm picking Brown.
nteresting to note the guys who pick Faber have similar styles. Brown has the odds in his favor to win again. Technically and size Brown is the superior fighter. I'd actually take Griffin in a Faber rematch.
