Donald Trump: 'MMA Is the Place to Be'

When Donald Trump first announced that he was getting involved with Affliction's new MMA promotion last June, a lot of hardcore MMA fans reacted negatively. Trump would bastardize the newborn organization, they said. But one can't deny that "The Donald" has helped bring some much-needed media attention to the fledgling promotion.

Case in point: last week's "Affliction: Trilogy" press conference in New York City, which was held in the atrium of the Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan, brought out the likes of CNBC, the New York Post and the nationally-syndicated show, Extra.

FanHouse briefly caught up with Trump to talk about his involvement in MMA and who he thinks will win the Fedor Emelianenko vs. Josh Barnett fight on August 1. The full video interview is below.
