Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp Video: Ultimate Chaos, American Freak Show

Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp, as the video above shows, is an MMA fight between two legitimate athletes. Lashley is a big, strong guy who was a good college wrestler, and Sapp is a bigger, stronger guy who was a good college football player. So when I call their fight in the main event of Ultimate Chaos a freak show, it's not meant as an insult.

I just mean that people aren't going to buy this fight on pay-per-view because they think Lashley and Sapp are legitimately good fighters. (In fact, the fighters in the co-main event, Pedro Rizzo and Gilbert Yvel, would both beat either Lashley or Sapp.) No, people are going to buy this fight because Lashley and Sapp are big, tough-looking guys who have reputations as brawlers. That's the kind of fight that has always sold in Japan, but hasn't been as popular among American MMA fans.

I personally think Sapp, whose pro MMA record is 10-4-1, is probably going to run out of steam early in the fight, and Lashley, whose record is 3-0, will finish him in the second round of a fight that won't really be all that exciting. But I'm still looking forward to this card, which is shaping up as follows:
