This is the UFC 100 live blog for the main event, Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir.You can also read up on Mike Chiappetta's live reports from Las Vegas, and follow all of the action by following me on Twitter.
The undercard is over, the fight will begin around midnight ET and the live blog begins below.
Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar
Mir is making his way to the Octagon. Mir is in the Octagon. Lesnar is making his way to the Octagon. Lesnar is in the Octagon.
Round 1: This fight is underway. Lesnar declined to touch gloves. Lesnar lands a leg kick to Mir's heavily taped left knee. Big right hand from Lesnar followed by a takedown. Lesnar in Mir's half guard on the ground. Lesnar has his hand right on Mir's throat. Ref Herb Dean tells them they need to work, as it's a slow-paced fight that has already gone on longer than their first fight. The fans are booing because this has been a slow-paced fight on the ground. Lesnar lands a hard punch on the ground. Some very hard punches from Lesnar on the ground. There's not a ton of action, but what action there is, is Lesnar punching Mir. The left side of Mir's face is already swollen badly. Lesnar is just smothering Mir. It hasn't been the prettiest first round, but Lesnar has been effective. The first round clearly goes to Lesnar, 10-9.
Round 2: Mir has a smile on his face, but his face is busted up, as Joe Rogan said. Lesnar ducks under a punch and goes for a takedown, then lets him back up. Now Mir pushes the pace, goes for a guillotine and then lands an elbow and a knee. Now they're back on the ground with Lesnar on top. Lesnar with a big right hand on the ground. The fans are chanting "stand them up." Mir is in trouble. It's over! Brock Lesnar beats Frank Mir by TKO. Mir's face is a bloody mess. Lesnar gives the middle finger to the fans as they boo him. He's a great fighter, but that's an ugly, classless display by Lesnar.
Up next: Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago.

Interesting that so many Haters claim that Brock wins just because of his size. If that were true that Fedor should have lost to Hon Man Choi who outweighed him by 70 pounds. Or how about Bob Sapp who is even bigger than Brock but he could never do what Brock has done.
Why don't you so-called fans, go get some tapes and watch how often the bigger guys lost to technique in Pride and even in the old days of the UFC.
HERE'S ANOTHER ONE FOR YOU HATERS: WHY COULDN'T MIR SUBMIT BROCK WITH AN ANKLE LOCK TONIGHT? BECAUSE LESNAR IS LEARNING AND ADAPTING!
That said, I think Lesnar Fedor would be the dream matchup, but I think Fedor would win simply based on the fights I've seen him have with opponents even bigger than Brock.

The only way Lesner would win is if Mir doesnt show up, his ground assualt and submissions are far deeper than Lesner.

Brock is going to bring the FEAR tonight. Mir doesn't want to get hit with those bricks again. As soon as Mir steps in the ring with Crazy Man he is going to feel FEAR. It's over in the first round.

When Brock wins this fight he's going to be champ for a while because of the FEAR factor. The same thing Liddell had on his opponents.
