Alan Belcher's tattoo is raising a whole lot of questions in the hours after his split decision loss to Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 100, so let's clear up what it is: It's Johnny Cash. Except it's a deformed Johnny Cash.
The tattoo looks to me like Belcher got it when he was younger, and through strength training he's built up the muscles in his arms and made Johnny's face look a little lumpy. That makes it, frankly, look like it's a little bit deformed, with all due respect to Belcher. And that's why no one can tell what it is, and everyone is googling "Alan Belcher tattoo."
So why does Belcher have a Cash tattoo on his arm? I've never heard him go into much detail about it, other than he's a Mississippi boy who's a big Johnny Cash fan. Oddly, he didn't use Johnny Cash for his entrance music, instead choosing Bob Dylan's Hurricane.

who cares about the tattoo, the guy got beat by a smaller fighter. That was one tough japanees guy. I thought Rogan was watching a different fight. Belcher won the first round lost the second round and i thought the third round was a draw, but the take down was probably what won the fight for the Jap... Yes the tattoo sucks but so did his performance. Why would you get another mans face on your body anyways... How stupid is that. Its like getting your girlfriends name put on after a month of dating...

It's supposed to be the cover of Cash's Folsom Prison album. My guess is what looks like 'lumps' was a poor attempt to recreate the beads of sweat on 'The Man in Black's' face. What really screws it up is the hair, which looks like those plastic hair helmets that Devo used to wear.
Ironically, the big Cash fan in the UFC is Jon Fitch who has used several Cash songs as entrance music including 'God's Going To Cut You Down' and his cover of Soundgarden's 'Rusty Cage'.

Lest you doubt Cash’s credentials as a bad ass keep in mind that he took regularly took his pretty young wife into maximum security prisons with him to perform **and the inmates treated her with respect**.

Alan Belcher got robbed on the decision last night. I thought he clearly won the fight and he should challenge that decision. And I think anybody that gets a tatoo will regret at some point in their life.

I think the issue people had with the scoring was the 30-27 from Adalaide Byrd. I didn't see Sexyama dominate all three rounds, but then again I'm not a UFC judge.
