SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Jay Hieron has every reason to be frustrated. After seeing his Affliction fight against Paul Daley get canceled, Hieron was excited to fight Nick Diaz for the Strikeforce welterweight title. Of course, that fight never happened. Still, Hieron had his Showtime debut against Jesse Taylor to look forward to. Only problem was his fight was bumped off the telecast at the last minute.FanHouse spoke to a clearly disgruntled Hieron about blocking out all the frustrations en route to defeating Taylor on Saturday night and when he plans on fighting next. The full video interview is below.

Strikeforce is a joke. I kept hearing how Coker is a good promoter, but how can you have two one-minute fights and still bump a fight off the live card? The production was amateur hour.

I agree with your initial point of not airing the fight, however, yes let's blame Coker for not going into the future and seeing how long some of those fights lasted.
With three title fights that could go 25 minutes, not including pre-fight videos, entrances, and post-fight interviews you have to schedule accordingly. The easy fix to this is what the UFC does with swing bouts. If there is time they fit it in, if not they wait till after the main event. The live audience still gets the fight regardless, and since the card had quick finishes we could have seen it. If Strikeforce ever starts airing prelims we could have seen it anyway.
But back to my point in replying, you can't get mad post-fact that there were two one minute fights. No one could have seen that in their crystal ball.

Yeah you're right the Hieron/Taylor fight should've been shown, but that's not Coker's call that's Showtime's decision.
To say Strikeforce's production is amateur
hour is asinine the event was terrific and the commentary team of Johnson, Ranallo, and Shamrock blows Rogan and Goldberg away.
While watching last night it became clear just how annoying and unprofessional they are.
It was also refreshing to watch as they interviewed a fighter from a rival promotion instead of pretending he doesn't exist.
I mean even when Randy Couture was still employed by the UFC but wanted to resign he wasn't allowed to be mentioned or even shown on camera when cornering a fighter.
Now that's amateurish.
