that's actually the first time i've ever read where someone actually gives specifics on why they don't like the ufc and dana. and really more fertitta related than dana per say.

although, i have to be honest, i don't really know much of what you speak of.

1-i thought they bought pride because they offered the most money. am i wrong?
2-the affliction deal? what deal?
3-who the f==k is armamdo garcia?
4-what gigantic loan? and what does that mean?

nothing to do with friendship. dana is as he says a, "fight promoter". so keep that in mind, in regards to what dana does and says. perhaps if more fans kept that in mind they wouldn't be so hard on him. perhaps.

To neozoo about my comments I always thought how the Pride deal went down was a little shady and the Affliction deal I am talking about is the one that just went down after Affliction canceled the Trilogy card for Aug.1st.

As for Armando Garcia he was the head of the California State Athletic Commission who resigned in disgrace last year and now he happens to be the head of security for the Fertitta's Casino's.

As for the Nevada State Athletic Commission being partners with the UFC for the Ultimate Fighter those were the exact words the head of the NSAC Keith Kizer used when describing why he had a meeting with the UFC and wanted the TV show to stop the controversial behavior that went on during season 8 with Junie Browning and the "bodily fluids" prank. The interview was on Sherdog radio.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that athletic commissions were for rules and regulations for the athlete's and to ensure safety and fair competition. Not partners with a Fight Promotion that decide content in a reality TV show. That just doesn't sound right at all.

after all, it was a business deal. in the fight game.

i thought the ufc and afflicition sort of mended the fence. which for the ufc is a big consession considering affliction was trying to be direct competition.
i would expect the ufc to act the same way if tap out tried the same thing.

as far as garcia, yeah that sounds like typical commission corruption with a payoff. again, this is the fight game and that kind of crap is going to happen, although i'm not sure where the benefit to the ufc is. who knows, maybe this garcia guy is well qualified to be head of security. if not, then i hope he f#$ks them good.

i agree with you 100% on the kizer thing, not unlike my above post, he is a scumbag too.

if i understand the stated purpose of the loan, it was to pay ufc exectives and leave the co (ufc) enough money to operate - in other words, milk it for every penny to be put in their pocket, and not invested in fighters, fan, or co.

we should have nuked the whole country and put out an edict to the world......if you mess with us or our freinds, you will all die.
no sending in troops, no destroying our economy.
but, since we didn't, as of today, we should bring every single soldier home today!!!
and then put that edict out.
