It's generally considered an honor to be spoofed by The Simpsons and mixed martial arts was chosen as the iconic cartoon series' latest subject of satire for an episode that aired Sunday on Fox.
The entire episode revolved around Marge Simpson training for a fight against a fight promoter to get rid of MMA or "Ultimate Punching" as it was referred to as on the program.
Former UFC champ Chuck Liddell makes a cameo as a celebrity fighter who charges $25 for an autograph.
The full episode is above. Keep an eye out for Bart's triangle choke (variation from back mount), Marge's flying armbar and Lisa's Superman punch.
I only watched a little bit of this. I was highly disappointed. They didn't show a very good representation of MMA at all.The only part a could laugh at or enjoy about this episode was the very end when the kids fight, which takes about 5 seconds. Way to go Simpson's 2 thumbs down.
