Shane Carwin was originally scheduled to fight Cain Velasquez at UFC 104 this past weekend, but the UFC decided to change its plans and have the big man face Brock Lesnar for the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 instead. It's an opportunity of a lifetime for the former NCAA Division II wrestling champion and two-time All-American football player at Western State College who has yet to lose in his first 11 professional bouts. FanHouse recently spoke to Carwin about his simmering feud with Lesnar, training for the biggest fight of his life while his wife is pregnant, and his full-time job as an engineer. I am predicting carwin knocking lesner out, lesner hasnt had to fight anyone that was just as big as him and I dont think he is going to be able to beat carwin.

As big as Carwin is, he's still not as big as Lesnar. Lesnar is 2 inches taller, and will be 15-20 lbs heavier on fight night.
This fight comes down to Carwin's wrestling IMO. If he can avoid spending time on his back, I think he has a good chance of knocking out Lesnar. If Carwin can't avoid the takedown, I think Brock will GNP him to death. I'm not a big fan of Brock, but his GNP is scary. Mir, though overrated, probably could have defended himself against anyother HW in the world ... but Brock absolutely crushed him.

Carwin is 6'5 and Lesnar is 6', Lesnar will be heavier but not by much, 20 lbs is a bit excessive. If Shane Carwin can keep the fight standing and avoid Brock's big right then he will win, I'm not sure that he will be able to knock out Brock though.

Frank Mir's leg was obviously severly injured b4 the fight. I don't think Brock could have kept him on the ground and/or aspecially on his back.

Lesnar is a massive man ,in my eyes,designed to fight massive men. I think that Shane may make the match more exciting, however,I still think, Lesnar is gonna shake'm, bake'm, then eat'm alive. Lesnar is a dominating greco roman wrestler, and a chin of steel. 11/21, I'm there.
