The final Nielsen ratings are in and 5.46 million viewers tuned in Saturday to watch Strikeforce and M-1 Global's main event between Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers from 11PM to 11:15PM ET on CBS, FanHouse has learned. The numbers for the entire Saturday Night Fights broadcast, which included Jake Shields vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Gegard Mousasi vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Fabricio Werdum vs. Antonio Silva, earned the network a 2.5 rating for 4.042 million viewers from 9PM to 11:24PM ET.
While CBS still fell short to Fox and ABC, the channel was a big winner in the 18-34 demographic. Saturday Night Fights was the top program for both adults and men 18-34, beating out college football and was an improvement of 283% on CBS' season-to-date average on Saturday nights.

good to know saturday night fights on cbs will be back. thanks dana for your contribution. guess you got beat to the punch on the network tv deal. maybe if you weren't such an arrogant prick and value yourself so much, well it's too late for that. i hope scott coker, strikefoprce, cbs, showtime and everyone gets rich off of the hard work dana put in to get the sport popular. i don't feel as though anyone owes dana respect anymore as i think he's already sh*t on everyone and has thrown the respect card out the window.

I am glad to see fights on regular t.v., but the card sucked. The announcers were the worst and the only good fight was the Fedor fight. I think Dana is arrogrant also, but he would do a lot better than Strikeforce anyday. If regular t.v. wants ratings they need to give Dana or U.F.C. a shot.

I thought all the fights were competitive and other than the Shields fight very entertaining.

I'm a huge UFC fan (MMA in general), and I was pleasantly surprised by the Strikeforce lineup. Your crazy "Frank"...the card was extremely good and competitive. The Mayhem vs Shields fight was pretty mediocre, but the others were tremendous. I've seen EVERY UFC pay per view event (from 1 - 105 or whatevever they're on), and I can honestly say that 3 of those 4 fights were as good as any that I've seen from the UFC...especially since they were free. I still think the overall calibur of fighter might be better in the UFC (from top to bottom), but I would certainly watch more Strikeforce if they can keep up those caliber of fights. Good job CBS...you show it and I'll watch it. I'm sure most MMA fans would agree with me.

Fedor is too experienced to lose to Rogers. Rogers should not seek a rematch without taking on at least a couple of lesser opponents first.
