Last week, EA Sports announced that legendary MMA referee, "Big" John McCarthy, would be featured in their upcoming EA MMA video, which is slated to hit stores in 2010. FanHouse attended the press conference in Hoffman Estates, Ill., to announce McCarthy's involvement in the game (as well as Muhammed Lawal, Jake Shields and Brett Rogers) and details about the game itself.Below is a video interview with McCarthy talking about being a part of EA MMA, his relationship with UFC president Dana White, and the current state of refereeing and judging in the sport.

Usually, I wouldn't use like "probably" and things like that. But I have to say, the way John stopped the Rogers fight was suspicious to say the least. I can't say if he is guilty of any wrong doing, but I wouldn't past Vadim to offer something for the early stoppage. You know, a token of gratitude or something.
I guess that's why John was all smile after that main event. The job was done, the fix was in, right?

I did not delete anything. My ideas about our wars are known. The post was removed by the moderator. And I understand why. Nobody wants to face the bitter troops. This is an MMA site and my apologies for airing my personal views about our government here. Having said that, don't call me a loser. I'll say it to your face. it probably went something like this... mccarthy told dana that he has an opportunity to provide a better future for his family and dana said no. then dana said, now that you've tried to something against my orders, you must get on your knees and blow me. and of course john didn't so now he can't be a part of dana's soapbox mma league anymore.
seriously mcarthy i believe took an opportunity outside of the ufc for a tv show, and also said some things that were a little too real for dana's taste. he criticized some things that were happening at the time in regards to ufc and dana got so butthurt that he's now doing anything he can to keep the best referee out of the ufc. i don't know the whole story, maybe someone else can fill in the blanks.

@pipe. The best piece of fiction I have read. John McCarthy probably asked for special treatment and money and Dana said no. So he went and wear an affliction shirt and thought he could call matches. The guy is overrated and makes so many mistakes. but people just ignore it all.
